Responsibilities
Support and comply with the policies, goals, efforts, and programs of CPC’s Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System. Ensure HSE issues are given primary consideration in all activities undertaken within area of responsibility. Unsafe acts and/or conditions, no matter in what area of responsibility, are to be reported so corrective actions can be taken.
Have a full and comprehensive understanding of all the process and safety systems to control the facility in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
Ensure the safety of the work environment for all employees
Responsible for starting up and shutting down processing facilities under normal conditions as well as under emergency conditions including timely notifications as required.
Report abnormal and unusual conditions that develop during the daily work schedule to the Shift Supervisor
Responsible for daily housekeeping duties, testing and data collection.
React to abnormal situations and process incidents by making prompt and safe adjustments to maintain effective and safe production.
Effectively manage all process equipment as per recommended operating parameters and set points and maintains KPI’s.
Provide detailed and comprehensive reports as required on operations and existing conditions and produces effective shift turnover notes.
Report equipment malfunctions directly to the Shift Lead
Adhere to standard operating procedures and special instructions as required
Active involvement in the Competency Assurance program.
Collaborate with the Water Treatment Operators, Maintenance and Engineering team to ensure a safe, effective & efficient operation
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Experience in oil & gas plant operations
Commissioning and start-up experience will be considered an asset
Legally authorized to work in Canada on a regular full-time basis without restrictions.
Preferred Qualifications
GPO Certificate, 4th Class Power Engineering certification, or 3rd Class Power Engineering certification
Condensate Recovery Unit experience preferred for successful candidates working in the C-11-K gas plant
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Understanding of amine sweetening, condensate stabilization, conventional refridge, compression, power generation/distribution and plant utilities
Understanding of cause & effect as it relates to plant processes
Strong communication skills
Strong mentoring qualities
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Good organizational skills
Effective under abnormal situations
